"In the bacon and eggs story, the chicken is supportive and the pig is committed!"

Generally, leaders feel they have commitment from stakeholders when they only have support. There is a huge difference between commitment and support!

Support is easy granted and the importance often misunderstood or it has little value. “Go ahead with what you are planning, I won’t get in your way.” may be thought of as commitment when it is only support. Commitment means doing all one person can do to bring about success in a certain area or endeavor.

As a general rule, one person who is committed is worth 100 who are supportive.
